Coach Mutch's Story

My journey began after struggling with weight loss for 16 years. As a teenager, I was about 200 lbs. and it was really hard to look in the mirror. I continued to struggle with fluctuating weight throughout my early twenties, and again found myself uncomfortable with the body I was in. I began taking things more seriously in my mid 20’s, and stepped into my first group class gym experience. I saw intimidating, unnecessary displays in the gym: exposed bodies, revealing workout gear, and people loudly dropping large amount of weight. I felt like running.

I decided enough was enough, and that I wouldn’t run from myself anymore. I wanted to feel confident, I wanted to work hard, and I wanted to find a long-term fitness plan to keep me both motivated and healthy.

Now, I’m healthier, stronger, and more confident than I ever have been. For me, fitness has been redefined as a lifestyle; it’s about what makes you happy and confident, and that translates to how you carry yourself every day.

At Mutch Fitness, you will never walk in feeling intimidated – you’ll experience transparent, consistent, and compassionate coaching. I pride myself in doing what is in your best interest. As a coach, I take time to learn about each of my athletes, one at a time, and to best guide them towards their goals. This journey has its ups and downs, and I will work with you to adjust your workouts, mindset, and goals as you continue along.
